Americord October Giveaway — Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Sponsor
The Americord October Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is sponsored by Americord Registry LLC, 68 Veronica Avenue, Unit 10, Somerset, NJ 08873 ("Americord" or "Sponsor"). Questions about the Giveaway may be sent to [email protected].
2. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and contractors of Americord and its affiliates, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) and household members of each, are not eligible. The Giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
You do not need to be pregnant to enter. See Section 5 regarding transfer of the prize.
3. Entry Period
The Giveaway begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on October 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 15, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be counted. Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeping device.
4. How to Enter
During the Entry Period, visit americordblood.com/giveaway and complete the entry form with your first and last name, email address, and whether you are entering for yourself or for someone you know. Optional fields (phone number, expected due date) help us reach the winner quickly but are not required to enter.
Limit one (1) entry per person and per email address for the entire Entry Period. Entries submitted with multiple email addresses by the same person, or generated by script, macro, or any automated means, will be disqualified. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
There is no cost to enter and no purchase is required. Submitting the free entry form is the only method of entry.
5. Prize
One (1) winner will receive a 20-year Americord cord blood banking plan (the "Prize"), which includes: one Americord collection kit, medical courier transport of the sample to Americord's laboratory, processing and cryopreservation of the newborn's umbilical cord blood, and twenty (20) years of storage from the date of processing.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $3,868.85.
The Prize is subject to the following conditions:
- Use and transfer. The Prize may be used by the winner or transferred, at no cost, to one expecting family member or friend designated by the winner (the "Designated Recipient"). The winner or Designated Recipient must enroll with Americord and provide an expected due date on or before October 15, 2027, or the Prize will be forfeited. Only one transfer is permitted.
- Enrollment. The person using the Prize must complete Americord's standard enrollment, including the client agreement and the collection consent, and be under the care of a healthcare provider who agrees to perform the collection. The Prize covers one birth (one newborn). Standard Americord terms of service apply.
- Upgrades. Additional services — including extending storage beyond 20 years, cord tissue banking, placental tissue banking, and other add-ons — are available at the winner's or Designated Recipient's option at then-current pricing, less any promotional discount Americord chooses to offer. No upgrade is required to receive or use the Prize.
- Collection outcomes. Americord does not guarantee that a collection will meet processing or storage criteria; cord blood collection depends on circumstances at delivery outside Americord's control. If a sample cannot be processed or stored for any reason, Sponsor's sole obligation is to refund any upgrade fees paid; no cash or alternative prize will be awarded for the base Prize.
- No substitution. The Prize has no cash value and may not be sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the Prize becomes unavailable.
- Taxes. The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on the Prize. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to the winner for the ARV of the Prize where required by law.
6. Winner Selection and Odds
One (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor on or about October 19, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
7. Winner Notification
The potential winner will be notified by email at the address provided on the entry form within three (3) business days of the drawing, and may also be contacted by phone if a number was provided. The potential winner must respond and confirm eligibility within five (5) business days of the first notification attempt. Sponsor may require the potential winner to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and (where lawful) publicity release before the Prize is awarded.
If a potential winner does not respond within the required time, is found ineligible, declines the Prize, or fails to return required documents, that person forfeits the Prize and an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Sponsor will make up to three (3) such alternate selections, after which the Prize may go unawarded.
The winner will be announced publicly during the week of October 19, 2026 by first name and last initial only.
8. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the Prize constitutes the winner's consent for Sponsor to use the winner's first name, last initial, city and state, likeness, and statements about the Giveaway for promotional purposes in any media, without further notice, compensation, or approval.
9. Privacy
Information submitted with an entry is collected by Sponsor and will be used to administer the Giveaway, to contact the winner, and, unless you opt out, to send you information about Americord's services. Sponsor will not sell your information. Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message. Sponsor's Privacy Policy at americordblood.com/privacy-policy applies. Please do not submit another person's contact information on their behalf; if you are entering on behalf of an expecting friend or family member, enter with your own information and designate them if you win.
10. General Conditions
By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process, acts in violation of these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs its integrity or proper functioning, and in that case to award the Prize from among eligible entries received before the action was taken.
11. Limitation of Liability
Sponsor and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or garbled entries; for technical, network, or email failures of any kind; or for any injury or damage to any person's computer related to participating in the Giveaway. By entering, each entrant releases Sponsor and its affiliates from any claim arising from participation in the Giveaway or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Disputes and Governing Law
The Giveaway and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, in the state or federal courts located in Somerset County, New Jersey.
13. Winner List
For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Americord October Giveaway — Winner List, 68 Veronica Avenue, Unit 10, Somerset, NJ 08873, to be received by December 31, 2026. Residents of Vermont may omit return postage.
