What accreditations does your cord blood laboratory have?

Posted by Martin Smithmyer

Americord is registered with the USA FDA for collection stem cells from cord blood as well as the placenta (only one of two companies with this). Americord is also licensed and registered throughout the USA, including states that require a specific license or registration such as NY, NJ, MD, IL. Americord’s laboratory is separately accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), as well as licensed by the States of New York and New Jersey, which have the most stringent regulations of all states requiring licensing for processing and storing cord blood stem cells. Additional laboratory accreditation / certifications include:

Indiana State Blood Bank License
New York Cord Blood Procurement License
New York Cord Blood Processing License
Maryland Medical Lab Permit
Maryland Department of Health And Mental Hygiene – Tissue Bank Permit
AABB Accreditation
New Jersey Blood Bank License

Americord has the best quality and follows all of the best practices for cord blood collection and storage, including the FDA, the AABB, state and federal guidelines and applicable licenses. We use the only commercially available FDA approved sterile exterior cord blood bag that is on the market, the fastest medical courier, and the cheapest prices.
