This can vary depending on the your provider's policies. In some situations there may be an associated fee to collect your newborn's stem cells. We recommend checking with your insurance carrier to see if this fee is covered.

FSAs (Flexible Spending Accounts), HSAs (Health Spending Accounts), and HRAs (Health Reimbursement Arrangements) are all special un-taxed accounts you can use to pay for out-of-pocket healthcare costs. FSA and HSA accounts will sometimes cover cord blood banking when medically necessary.
When you enroll you'll be charged for the collection kit and shipping costs. After your baby's cord blood and perinatal tissues have been processed and cryogenically stored, you will be charged your first monthly installment of the payment plan or full amount based on the choice you made when you enrolled. You will receive a Confirmation of Storage, certifying that your collection is viable and stored properly, with a full lab report.

In most cases, no promo code is needed — if we’re running a sale, the discounted price is automatically applied unless we specifically say a code is required. If you do have a code, you can enter it during checkout in the right-hand order summary sidebar. We also typically don’t allow stacking promotions (using more than one discount at a time). The main exception is a referral promo code from a friend, which may be eligible alongside a sale. If you’re unsure, just ask our team and we’ll confirm what applies to your order.

Why is Stem Cell Processing Important?
(And why you should be wary of others who discount processing.) Processing your baby’s stem cells is the most important step of the preservation process. How they are handled, processed, and prepared for storage directly affects the usability for future treatments. Cheaper processing costs means cheaper, corner-cutting processing methods. At Americord, our scientists’ primary focus is ensuring the highest-level quality processing, each time. CryoMaxx™ Processing maximizes stem cell usage and utility, giving families more options for more treatments.
